ABOUT US

The Digital Collaboration Academy was born with the vision of creating and sustaining a new emerging field - Digital Facilitation.

Thanks to the Digital Revolution, we are fortunate to have reached a stage in our civilization where nothing prevents high-quality teamwork, regardless of the lack of physical presence. Today, you can be just as effective working virtually as in a physical office.

It is said that the worst of times brings out the best in people and this is also true for organizations. Around the world, companies are being challenged by the COVID-19 crisis to find new ways to serve their customers and communities. Many are already discovering new ways of working remotely by adopting new forms of collaboration with a combination of digital tools that are now so popular.

Organizations alone cannot work miracles; it's all in the hands of people in an organization to do the trick. Digital facilitators are a new type of professional who understands and captures the power of teamwork. They take advantage of the support of valuable digital tools like GroupMap™ to overcome geographical and cultural barriers and successfully transform any group into high-performance teams.

According to Matt Mullenweg, founder of WordPress, “any company that can allow its people to be fully effective in a distributed way can and should do this long after this current crisis has passed. It is a moral imperative."

However, a Digital Facilitator is not linked to virtual remote work exclusively. The power of certain software tools like GroupMap ™ can also be used in face-to-face physical or hybrid (mixed online and physical) configurations and many facilitators have reported excellent work that you can also find out more about here.

The Digital Collaboration Academy adopts the core competencies of the International Association of Facilitators and both its co-founders are Certified Professional Facilitators.

Welcome to the new world of Digital Facilitation!
