Is GroupMap™ a methodology or a software?

GroupMap™ is an ideation and group decision support software and upon each use, you can then generate and apply a range of methodologies.

This software already offers a range of templates that follow specific well-known methodologies but you can create your own templates to adapt to the methodology that you follow. Please watch this page for more information https://www.groupmap.com/templates/

Do I need to use any specific software for this training and certification program?

GroupMap™ is a cloud-based platform so you only need to use a browser on any kind of OS you like (Mac, Windows or Linux).

GroupMap works on phones, tablets, laptops and desktops running modern browsers:
  • Google Chrome
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Apple Safari
  • Microsoft Edge
We also support Microsoft Internet Explorer 11+.

The price of our courses includes a 6-month GroupMap professional license.

About the individual assessment, what is required to pass?

To become a Certified GroupMap™ Facilitator you need to pass a final assessment and it consists of you running a 30 minutes sample workshop as a facilitator and demonstrating that you are able to lead the group to accomplish a given outcome using the IAF core competencies.

You can learn more about these competencies here:

What happens if I fail the assessment?

The course is designed and delivered to maximise the chances for all our academy members to pass.

However, if you fail the first assessment after the course completion, you can still try the next one for free. After this, you will be charged a US $50 fee per assessment.
